Lynn Woltz Bernard has been a member of Torch for nearly 15 years and belongs to the Richmond Torch club, Virginia. She is a founding member of the now retired Fredericksburg Torch club, Virginia and has served as IATC Region 3 Director since 2017. A Torch legacy member, Lynn played a key role in implementing Past President Norine Haas’ vision for Region 3 clubs to jointly host the IATC Summer 2023 Convention in Baltimore.

Art Bloom has served the International Association of Torch Clubs as Regional Director and President, bringing a leadership approach grounded in transparency, simplicity, and practical service to clubs. Known as a master communicator, optimistic problem solver, and collaborative team player, Art has worked to ensure Torch leaders have the resources and clarity needed to sustain vibrant clubs.
A dedicated member of the Winston-Salem club and a past president, Art is the instrumental force behind bringing the 2026 IATC Convention to his home town. The Winston-Salem convention is expected to be a milestone event for Torch, showcasing new ideas and momentum for the organization’s future. Thomas Carroll co-founded the Lincoln Torch club, Nebraska, in 1959 and served as its second president. He later became the club’s first delegate to the International Association of Torch Clubs, serving on the IATC Board and as Secretary-Treasurer from 1976 to 1980. Carroll also authored The Story of Torch: The First Fifty Years of the International Association of Torch Clubs.

Richard Davis is a member of the Columbus Torch club, Ohio. Since 2011, he has served nationally as Vice President, Treasurer and Director-at-Large for Conventions. He spent 39 years at Ohio State University Hospital in leadership roles and later served as associate project manager for the $1.1B James Cancer Hospital replacement. He will begin his term as IATC President in 2026.

Dorothy Driskell provided steady and courageous leadership during one of the most challenging periods in Torch history. As President of the International Association of Torch Clubs during the COVID era, she guided an organization built on in-person fellowship through unprecedented disruption with clarity and grace.
She championed thoughtful change, strengthened leadership and business practices, and helped re-envision The Torch magazine by bringing together the skills the organization needed. Dorothy later served as a Trustee of the Torch Foundation and included Torch in her planned giving, ensuring her commitment would continue well into the future. Norine Haas was a longtime leader and devoted member of the Frederick and Westminster Torch clubs, both in Maryland. A graduate of Temple University Hospital’s nursing program, she retired after a distinguished career as CEO of the Frederick County Mental Health Association. Her service extended to civic, arts, and faith communities, and she shared more than 60 years of marriage with her husband, Ted, a fellow Torch leader and devotee.

Leo A. Kellogg, past president of the Albany Torch club, New York, joined Torch in 1989 and served as club president in 1993–94. Honored with the Silver Torch Award in 1999 and the IATC Gold Torch Award in 2001, he is an honorary lifetime member of the Albany club, a lifetime member of the Torch Foundation, and co-founder of the Saratoga Torch club, New York. A former IATC regional director, Kellogg most recently led the Torch history project for the organization’s centennial.

Francis Moul, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was a longtime leader in the Lincoln Torch Club, Nebraska, and served as Vice President of the International Association of Torch Clubs. A former newspaper publisher, college professor, businessman, and author, he played a key role in establishing new Torch clubs in Virginia and Nebraska and in shaping the Torch Foundation’s honors, recognition, and memorial programs.

Robert Schmidt is a member of the Torch club of Richmond and a longtime leader within the club, having served as its President. In 2024, Robert successfully chaired the International Association of Torch Clubs Convention in Richmond, leading the planning and execution of a highly regarded gathering for Torch members from across the country. Through consistent leadership and service, Bob has made meaningful contributions to both the Richmond club and the broader Torch community.

P. Scott Stanfield is a longtime member of the Lincoln Torch club, Nebraska, having joined in 1986, and served as editor of The Torch from 2013 to 2021. Educated at Grinnell College and Northwestern University, he is the author of Yeats and Politics in the 1930s and has taught in the English Department at Nebraska Wesleyan University since 1989.

Anne Sterling is a 30-year member of the Richmond Torch club, Virginia, and served as President of the International Association of Torch Clubs from 2006 to 2008, during which time the Association received the transformative Oldenburg bequest to the Torch Foundation. She later served two terms as President of the Torch Foundation.
