Lynn Bernard Lynn Woltz Bernard has belonged to Torch for nearly 15 years. She is a member of the Richmond, Virginia, Torch club and a founding member of the Fredericksburg Torch club (VA). She has been IATC Region 3 Director since 2017. Lynn is a Torch legacy member, since her father, Judge Robert K. Woltz, was a founder of Region 3’s Winchester Torch club (VA). Her deep ties to Torch have prompted Lynn to act as the primary implementer for IATC Past President Norine Haas’ suggestion that several Region 3 clubs jointly host the IATC Summer 2023 Convention in Baltimore. Richard Davis Richard Davis graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees and got his doctorate from The Ohio State University, all specializing in BioMedical Engineering. He directed the Ohio State University Hospital biomedical department, serving in multiple roles until retirement after 39 years. Post retirement he rejoined OSU as associate project manager for the $1.1B OSU James Cancer Hospital replacement. He has been a member of the Columbus Torch club (OH) since 2011, and at the national level he has served both as treasurer and Director-at-Large for Conventions. Norine Haas Norine Haas has been a long-time devotee and leader of the Frederick and Westminster Torch clubs (MD). After graduating in nursing from Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia she completed a storied career retiring as CEO of the Frederick County Mental Health Association. Norine has been President of the Frederick Rotary Club, a loyal supporter of the League of Women Voters, commitment to the local arts including her own discipline in classical piano and a leader in her church. Leo A. Kellogg Leo A Kellogg, past president of the Albany Torch club, has hiked the Appalachian Trail, parachuted from a perfectly good airplane, and joined both Mensa and Intertel. In Torch he also excelled, joining the Albany Torch club in 1989, and serving as president during 1993-94. The club honored him with a Silver Torch Award in 1999 and made him an honorary lifetime member. He was an IATC regional director and received the IATC’s Gold Torch award in 2001. He co-founded the Saratoga Torch club. He is a lifetime member of the Torch Foundation. Most recently he led the Torch history project linked to the organization’s centennial.
Leo’s love of the outdoors traces to his birthplace–the town of Minerva, in New York State’s Adirondack Park. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Cross College, and a Masters of Public Administration from the State University of New York Albany. He is retired after a distinguished career as a public administrator for New York State. Leo and his wife, Diane Kellogg, reside in East Greenbush, New York. P. Scott Stanfield Scott Stanfield is the first-born son of Paul and Salee Stanfield (both Torch club members, Paul also an IATC President). Scott grew up mainly in Iowa. Educated at Grinnell College and Northwestern University, he is the author of Yeats and Politics in the 1930s and various articles on Yeats and other modernist writers. He has taught in the English Department of Nebraska Wesleyan University since 1989 and has been a Torch member even longer than that, having joined the Lincoln Torch club (NE) in 1986.
