Torch Foundation Annual Meeting – June 18
The annual members meeting of the Torch Foundation will be Thursday, June 18 at 7PM Eastern, 6 PM Central. 

Meeting Agenda Includes:

• Financial position of the Foundation
• Brief report of activities since the last Convention
• Election of two trustees for the 2020-2022 term

Current trustees Pete Dowling and Ed Latimer are running for reelection.  
Everyone is welcome to join the meeting. To be eligible to vote for trustees, you must be a member of the Foundation with 2020 dues paid.  Annual dues are $25 and a membership application is here. You can join online or by mailing in your application and check.

​Torch Foundation Update
Convention Grants Awarded   The Torch Foundation is pleased to announce that Art Bloom and G. David Piner from the Winston-Salem Torch Club are winners of the first Individual Convention Grants. Each brought an energy and excitement for Torch in their applications, each has recently joined Torch, and both are officers within their local club.   Congratulations to Art and David!
With the postponement of this year’s convention, grants for both Art and David will be transferred to the 2021 Annual Convention.  We look forward to meeting them there.
Six additional grants will be available for the 2021 Convention.  Grants are designed to encourage attendance at the Convention and cover registration and hotel costs.  Information and grant application forms are available in the Torch Foundation tab of the IATC website (Convention Grant program).
Tax Law Change  The CARES Act of 2020 included a provision to allow anyone to deduct up to $300 in 2020 charitable contributions, whether or not they itemize deductions.  With so much need in our communities, there are many places to give.  Please consider a gift to the charitable organization of your choice.  Consult your personal tax advisor for additional information.
